Life is constant change but many of us remain stagnant in who we are as people our entire lives. We stick to wrong and false beliefs that we learned from other dysfunctional people in our lives. We do what the world tells us to do, not what God means for us to do in our lives. We are not letting God do a transformation within us.
It was written that God called from heaven when Jesus was baptized telling Him who He was to God. How many of us will never hear what God thinks of us because we have all kinds of stumbling blocks by not living the life destined for us, being disobedient, selfish & self-centered or being distracted by all the other things in the world in our lives everyday. How many of us will ever really be up to the challenge of “Taking up our cross to follow Jesus?” How many of us let the Holy Spirit minister to us with an open spirit ourselves? Are any of us really willing to be obedient “even unto death” with all the pleasures and treasures tempting us here on earth? It is a hard and narrow to path to walk in righteousness and hence the reason Jesus said few will enter the gates of heaven. You have to have the heart for God to be willing to sacrifice personal gain and pleasure to serve Him. Peace be to all who read and understand.
Happy New Year!
Praying and believing for people to open their eyes to the truth of the simplicity of the obvious that Jesus is the only way, truth and life. There is no hope or future for a world that does not accept and embrace loving their brother. No culture that promotes evil will ever last very long. The selfish and ignorant may like “doing their own things” but doing the right thing is the only way humanity will survive. Love is not something that always feels good for the giver. Real love can be very uncomfortable at times but it means placing the good of others before your own comfort. It means a lot of forgiveness.
I am hoping that our new President will make the kind of decisions that are for the good of all and not just for the people that paid for his campaigning as most career politicians have to do. Praying that justice and logic is the order of the day for America instead of caving to the screams of the few that wish to pervert and defile that which is the natural order of things.
I Pray that all the lies, deceit and bad influence stops in our mainstream media and entertainment industries in America so that people can go back to a kinder, gentler way of life without being placed at one another’s throats. Negative and inaccurate reporting makes things look any way they wish depending on their current agenda and that’s not OK. The 2016 presidential election was completely uncalled for and I stayed so angry with the constant covering up and lying that was non-stop throughout. It was so obvious to those who are actually aware of what is going on. Sometimes I wish for the days when I was young and stupid. I was so much happier. God bless the Children of God and I wish you all the best 2017 has to offer!
Figuratively and literally.
God did create a beautiful world and for many years man made good use of all the natural wonders we were afforded.
Then man started to get carried away with what they were able to do. Instead of balancing intellect with wisdom, some let their egos run wild with power never giving thought to how their actions would effect others or the future of the entire world. This is called ignorance and most men are guilty of this in one way or another because few trust in God.
Most of the current popular quotes or rules of thought are brought to us courtesy of the chosen, sheltered few that grew up loved and properly taken care of in relative comfort. Some claim that what happens to you in your life is up to you, which is simply not the truth. Seldom is the child of a crack whore or the town drunk quoted or celebrated for some high achievement they are responsible for but you must “Keep on Dreaming” “Keep Hope Alive” and “Never Give Up.”
When do those sayings become ridiculous or even rage inducing? Just rely on the truth and not the rants of the common man which are little more than the bleats of sheep. I also have a hard time with some Biblical scripture such as Romans 5:3 in that “tribulation worketh patience.” For some of us that have gone through much “tribulation” the last thing we now feel is patient. I know this is true for me but maybe there is a work that still needs to be done in me.
“…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Things are better than they appear!
On earth, there isn’t much found. And judging by the number of wars since recorded time, I doubt there ever will be understanding. We may very well be a species that will end up destroying ourselves so that other animals can live safer, cleaner lives on this planet as long as it keeps spinning.
The heart of man will never change. Jesus was born over 2000 years ago and His words of love and forgiveness have been preached for as long. His words are mocked by most, but I am not sure what they find funny about it. Are most really so far gone spiritually that they think of love as something to laugh at? Yet when horrible things happen in this world, our corrupt news sources print stories about “people getting together in love and peace.” The words of Christ, yet they make no mention of Him. Why is there no real understanding? Why are most still like stubborn, ignorant, disobedient children when it comes to worship and thanks?
In American, whoever has the money, has the power and whoever has the power has the voice. As an intelligent realist, I’ve noticed that most of what is trying to be passed off as entertainment or literature these days is a cross between homoeroticism and liberal agenda krap. And as with most liberal views it lacks any real truth, depth or even logic.
Remember that you only have a limited time on earth and you cannot get your time or money back once it’s wasted. That being said, life is not some structured experience that has to meet with someone else’s approval, no matter who they think they are. Please don’t listen to what some experts tell you is a “well lived life” and think you’ve failed some kind of a test. We were created to fail on a daily basis. Relax, accept His peace and stop being so hard on yourself and others. God bless you all.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
I guess I just feel sad for a world that does not have the miracles it needs. I won’t even pretend that if you deserved a miracle you would get one. Because that’s simply not the truth. I observe the glaring unfairness of life on a daily basis in most things and I fight desperately not to let this shake my faith because it is the only thing that is keeping me going at this time.
At least I realize why I feel so bad at this time, why I’m so down and discouraged. After a lifetime of letdowns and discouragements, even tragedies, I am finally allowing myself to face my actual real feelings. Instead of trying to psych myself up and buoy my spirits with false bravado. Sadly, I know why I have been living this way. If I do not fill myself with these positive feelings, there is nothing in me. Children of abuse and neglect do not have anything good that was deposited inside of them. There is only evil and despair. This is the reason our world is in the state that it is in. People that are filled with all kinds of evil krap or nothing at all.
Jesus spoke of this phenomena and everything He said is the truth. He spoke of this condition after exorcism that if the person did not fill his “house” with the Word of God, that the evil would return and bring some friends. I guess even demons have friends and yet how hard is it for some of us believers to find even one true one?
I was feeling so bad yesterday that when I was standing in line to purchase my frozen spinach pizza, which wasn’t bad by the way, a tiny book near the magazines caught my eye. I’ve never noticed these before but “Jesus” caught my eye. The title of the periodical was Simple Grace and just underneath was the headline “Jesus is Looking For You, Can You be Found?” Good question. God only knows, no pun intended. Well, I purchased it and will attempt to read through the entire booklet and see what it has to offer spiritually and let you know.
If you wish to see striking contrast, look around you or turn on the news. Everyday in every way in all aspects of the world, especially with us humans.
Saints and sinners.
Heroes and villains.
Love and hate.
Peace and war.
Most of us are in between somewhere. I think that most of us are good most of the time but some really go all out to do what is right, no matter what the risk is to themselves. Some are only good when someone is watching, but they don’t count, lol.
The contrast are those that go out of their way, expend energy, to harm or destroy others, to be the lowest they can be and for some reason this is OK with their psyche. They risk their life not to be a hero or to help save a life but to end it or ruin something or someone. Really makes you think doesn’t it?
They used to say “There but for the Grace of God, go I” to try and make people less likely to hate and judge others that don’t do the right thing as most do and really it is a pretty accurate statement aside from the fact of wondering why this is so.
This is why I find the blind stupidity of evil intolerable. You can see it, all can see it, yet instead of being someone who heals and helps they harm. The way you treat others is the way you feel about yourself. Since we are all worth loving there is no good reason for it.
Please pray for peace in our world.
All these recent acts of terrorism cause me to recall something Martin Luther King Jr. once said that rang so true to me then and even more so now.
“I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant!”
Amen to that!
