Does Freedom Ultimately Destroy?

It’s obvious that many simply can not handle their own freedom.  You see this when they use it to harm others and even themselves with ill thought out or destructive actions.

There are many sayings regarding mortal man’s stupidity of nature.  “Give him enough rope and he’ll hang himself.”  “She’s a danger to herself and others.”  “Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish.”  “Two things are infinite: the universe and man’s stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.”

I’m sure of one thing, egomaniacs cannot control themselves.  The minute you give them any attention or encouragement, they go completely berserk.  Just like tiny tots trying to show off and beg for attention, that eventually realize they are not the center of the universe, many of the exhibitionists on social media ride the high of adoration until something shakes them back to earth.  Usually an online bully or troll is more than happy to oblige in the task of “reality checking” them.  Not that their critiques are accurate.

Freedom is great if you know what to do with it.  You were never supposed to be using it to cause harm to others, hence the fact we have always been a nation of laws.  No one that abuses their freedoms should be allowed to have them.  This includes those that use their freedom with power to give themselves more freedom and power than the rest of us so that they are guaranteed no one can ever stop them.  We all need to have our limitations.

Never Give Up, God Needs You

Suicide.

Most of us have thought about it, maybe even tried it ourselves or know someone who actually succeeded.  Don’t be blindsided by the enemy or those who try to glamorize it in prose.   Everyone gets tired.

I had a weird thought as someone who believes in heaven and hell.  I really don’t want to believe that God damns anyone in so much pain that they can’t go on anymore.  He gave us all a way to go on whether we like it or not and that’s just a fact that no one can deny that recognizes the truth.

And that truth is Jesus is the only way to eternal life.  And the only way in this material world that we can fight the devil down with His everlasting Power of Love.

When you feel weak, humble yourself to God and ask for the help you need to fight your earthly battles.  It will be given unto you.  Is it not easy, but you can do it, you know you can because you are the best thing that this world has ever seen.  You are the only you there is and ever will be.  Do it for God and for the world while you are blessed to be here for the short time we are afforded.  Dare to be a hero and continue on in faith.  No matter who or what comes against you.  Christ has you covered in His blood.

Having a Heart for God

Are all liberals atheists?  And if so, why?

Galatians516

From what I have seen most, if not all liberals think they are smarter than the average person and somehow feel it beneath them to believe in a higher power.  Somehow they think this shows just how enlightened and intelligent they are because only gun toting hillbillies love the Lord.

I question the very term “liberal” because it really does not describe these people whom I have found to be very closed minded and bigoted as a whole.  Most are very liberal towards sin, but have no patience for God or even doing the right thing.  What does that tell you?

Some have accused me of being a liberal.  One of my artist friends wore a t-shirt once that said “Jesus was a liberal” which brought on a lively debate of why I didn’t agree.  Jesus was neither liberal or conservative.  He was our savior.

He said “Go and sin no more” to the sinners.  He did not just say “Go and sin” as the liberals do.  While He did not condemn them He certainly did not agree with the sentiment “If it feels good, do it.”  That idea is selfish as sin and He was far from a selfish man.  He actually died for our sins, among the many other things He did while he walked the earth.  If we weren’t sinners, He wouldn’t have had to die for us.  I know it’s harsh to speak the truth, with it hurting and all, but it’s popular to be proud of our sin now of which I believe pride to be one of the seven deadly sins so not surprising once you commit one sin, you can easily keep right on going.

John8 11

The sad fact of the matter is if you are able to do small sins or commit deadly sins and don’t believe in the threat of burning in hell throughout eternity, you may be at risk to do even worse.  Who do you think ISIS, Al Qaeda and other terrorists are?

Leading by Example

A leader, a king, is not just someone with a big ego and a big mouth, but someone who infills his people and leads them to greatness.  He gives to them, does not take from them.  He is not someone who strives to lead because that is his desire, but he leads because he must.  It is God’s desire

This sound’s a lot like Jesus.

This is why He is truly the King of Kings.  He is the ultimate leader because He does not lie or deceive for some ulterior motive but tells people the truth whether they wish to face that truth or not.  How is that a favor to tell anyone what they want to hear when the results of that lie could mean their very soul?

Jesus is the only leader anyone needs on earth.  We don’t need endless government bureaucracy and other men with guns to enforce punitive and unjust laws that man thinks up simply to control and take from others.  We all have to have a reason for living that makes sense because the alternative is being acted out daily by the non-believers.

Life is very hard and confusing, especially when one decides to trust in man instead of God.  I do find it strange how many do just that when they decide to follow people, called celebrities, that take the words and beliefs of Christ and change it up just enough to actually fool them into thinking this was their idea and not God’s.  I don’t have a lot of respect for thieves like that.  At least have the decency to give credit where credit is due even though Christ was generous with those types back in His day saying that those that are not against Him are actually for Him.*

He also warned that when the blind lead the blind sooner or later they all end up in the ditch.*

Most can see if something is right or fair, no matter how desperately they wish to rationalize bad or selfish behavior and downright evil is self-evident.

Christianity is Not a Religion

It’s a Way of Life

MadonnaandChildLace4

I always ponder why Christ was such a threat to those in power.

He stood for peace, He healed the sick and taught the multitudes to treat others as they wish to be treated.  He told us to forgive our enemies and pray for those that use us.  He told us that our Father in heaven would do to us what we do to others.  He never tried to overthrow man’s kingdoms on this earth yet by speaking the truth brought condemnation to the evil ones who love positions of power.  He said He did not come to condemn the world but stated that by speaking truth, He removed the cloak from those with sin and that is why they hated Him so much.

Jesus warned those who pick up their cross to follow Him that the world will hate them and to remember that it hated Him first.

Jesus built no churches, He walked in the Word of God everyday and was obedient even unto His chosen death.

Jesus told us that if we truly love Him, we will keep His commandments of loving God and loving our brother.

Love is undeniably the only hope the world ever had and this is why Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  No one can get to the Father but by Him.

You Have to Serve Somebody

As someone who loves to follow Jesus, I am always shocked at those that still appear to hate Him today.  In my eyes, they are either ignorant or evil or both.  I understand that people will tend to believe whatever they are told growing up by those they trust and there really is no reason to change whatever faith you have just because someone tells you something different unless you believe that Jesus is the Christ in your heart.  That’s something that the spirit will convict those who are Children of God no matter what they have been taught by man, hence conversions.

I fully understand those that ignore the teachings of Christ because they were taught something similar in a different religion.  They were taught about love and self-control and the like and don’t believe that Jesus was the Son of God, born to save the world.  That’s between them and God.  I have the problem with those that feel a need to insult, harm or murder those that don’t think just like them, especially those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior even though this has always been a pattern of the non-believers since Christ walked the earth.

I grew up hearing about the saving Grace of Jesus Christ but many did not.  We are supposed to spread the Word and I am pretty sure the Gospel of Jesus Christ has now been spread throughout the world, but it is up to each person to decide what they will do with their life and to take heed when the spirit tries to get their attention.  Sometimes it’s hard to hear Him over all the bling.

Using Christ’s Name in Vain

I’m an ex-hippie chick though some might disagree about the ex part.

I was actually almost radical back in the day and was friends with a number of political prisoners.  I used to sit in their homes in the 1960’s helping them stuff envelopes with anti-war literature (Vietnam) as an occasional joint was passed around the table.  I did not smoke it, but probably got a little contact high.

Not friends with any of these people anymore, some that actually became friends with John Lennon and Yoko Ono a few years later, and some that were actually imprisoned for their various anti-war actions, I seldom think of this time in my life.

Finding this article with RT, jogged my menopausal memory.

A similar thing happened to me once with a mall cop and it wasn’t Paul Blart.  I spent much of my youth barefoot in the summer.  I wouldn’t dream of walking around like that now, but as a dancer, I already had great calluses on my feet so it was not at all uncomfortable for me to walk miles of sidewalk completely barefoot.

My sister and I had walked to the mall a couple of miles from our home and I went into the mall barefoot.  My sister being of sound mind at the time wore shoes.  One of the rent-a-pigs noticed I had bare feet and because of me all those freaking “No shoes, no shirt, no service” signs were born!

He came over and started yelling at me about what a disgraceful health hazard I was and my meek response to the unexpected tirade was “Jesus Christ!”  Said in a “what’s your problem” manner like he was as nuts as he obviously was.  At that time those no service signs did not exist so I was not technically breaking any laws.  He was irate that this was my response that came with a dirty look so he said, “Come along with me” taking me with a co-pig to his commanding officer, Sergeant Big-Pig.  When we got there he proceeded to speak “Pig Latin” which means lies.  He told his sergeant that I called him a “God damned son of a bitch” to which I said, “The hell I did, I just said Jesus Christ” because of the manner in which he spoke to me.  He called me a liar and repeated the lie again.  His boss told him to leave the room and he and I spoke for a few minutes.   Again I told him what was said to me by this man and how he said it and what I said.  My sister was outside and confirmed with him what had happened, to which he told me I could just leave and don’t worry about it.  He then asked “Porky” to come back in so he could speak to him.

Case closed!  But this is one of the many reasons I know the kind of personality that is attracted to these types of jobs.  Aggressive, angry, hostile, cocky, etc.  You would never use terms like “Loving, kind, generous, meek, etc. to describe a potential police officer.  I learned that cops lie or really misinterpret what is said or happening around them.  For this very reason it is imperative that all individuals wishing to become any type of gun carrying guard or police officer be thoroughly checked psychologically before allowing them to even get into cadet training.

Through the years I finally realized that “Jesus Christ” was not a phrase you use just because something is really stupid or unfair just because I heard it used that way growing up by other adults around me.  You use that phrase when you are actually speaking to Jesus in prayer, never vainly.  Sometimes in prayer His name is used vainly as Jesus told us that many will call it but few will make it because the road to righteousness is straight and narrow and most do not walk that walk.
