Musing Many Things and Trying to Remain Cool

Figuratively and literally.

God did create a beautiful world and for many years man made good use of all the natural wonders we were afforded.

Then man started to get carried away with what they were able to do.  Instead of balancing intellect with wisdom, some let their egos run wild with power never giving thought to how their actions would effect others or the future of the entire world.  This is called ignorance and most men are guilty of this in one way or another because few trust in God.

Most of the current popular quotes or rules of thought are brought to us courtesy of the chosen, sheltered few that grew up loved and properly taken care of in relative comfort.  Some claim that what happens to you in your life is up to you, which is simply not the truth.  Seldom is the child of a crack whore or the town drunk quoted or celebrated for some high achievement they are responsible for but you must “Keep on Dreaming” “Keep Hope Alive” and “Never Give Up.”

When do those sayings become ridiculous or even rage inducing?  Just rely on the truth and not the rants of the common man which are little more than the bleats of sheep.  I also have a hard time with some Biblical scripture such as Romans 5:3 in that “tribulation worketh patience.”  For some of us that have gone through much “tribulation” the last thing we now feel is patient.  I know this is true for me but maybe there is a work that still needs to be done in me.

Daily Prompt: Understanding

On earth, there isn’t much found.  And judging by the number of wars since recorded time, I doubt there ever will be understanding.  We may very well be a species that will end up destroying ourselves so that other animals can live safer, cleaner lives on this planet as long as it keeps spinning.

The heart of man will never change.  Jesus was born over 2000 years ago and His words of love and forgiveness have been preached for as long.  His words are mocked by most, but I am not sure what they find funny about it.  Are most really so far gone spiritually that they think of love as something to laugh at?  Yet when horrible things happen in this world, our corrupt news sources print stories about “people getting together in love and peace.”  The words of Christ, yet they make no mention of Him.  Why is there no real understanding?  Why are most still like stubborn, ignorant, disobedient children when it comes to worship and thanks?

Daily Prompt: Seeing Jesus Everywhere!

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”  John 15:13

FearlessLove thy God Luke 10 27

I guess I just feel sad for a world that does not have the miracles it needs. I won’t even pretend that if you deserved a miracle you would get one.  Because that’s simply not the truth.  I observe the glaring unfairness of life on a daily basis in most things and I fight desperately not to let this shake my faith because it is the only thing that is keeping me going at this time.

FearlessLight of Life John 8 12

At least I realize why I feel so bad at this time, why I’m so down and discouraged. After a lifetime of letdowns and discouragements, even tragedies, I am finally allowing myself to face my actual real feelings.  Instead of trying to psych myself up and buoy my spirits with false bravado.  Sadly, I know why I have been living this way.  If I do not fill myself with these positive feelings, there is nothing in me.  Children of abuse and neglect do not have anything good that was deposited inside of them.  There is only evil and despair.  This is the reason our world is in the state that it is in.  People that are filled with all kinds of evil krap or nothing at all.

FaithfulAbstain

Jesus spoke of this phenomena and everything He said is the truth. He spoke of this condition after exorcism that if the person did not fill his “house” with the Word of God, that the evil would return and bring some friends.  I guess even demons have friends and yet how hard is it for some of us believers to find even one true one?

I was feeling so bad yesterday that when I was standing in line to purchase my frozen spinach pizza, which wasn’t bad by the way, a tiny book near the magazines caught my eye.  I’ve never noticed these before but “Jesus” caught my eye.  The title of the periodical was Simple Grace and just underneath was the headline “Jesus is Looking For You, Can You be Found?”  Good question.  God only knows, no pun intended.  Well, I purchased it and will attempt to read through the entire booklet and see what it has to offer spiritually and let you know.

The Miracle of Mother Teresa?

Was Mother Teresa responsible for my transformation in finding Jesus?

In the summer of 1997 I applied for an accounting position in the bank that I had been employed with for the last eight years.  I had gone from part-time teller in a branch to lead teller and substitute administrative assistant as well as training all the new tellers in our area.  I had been trained in Management as well because the bank liked to cover their bases and save money as well.  By training some of us in other areas, we were able to cover for people in higher positions without the bank having to give us that title or the raise that was supposed to go with it.

As soon as I started in the accounting department I was hired in, I realized it was a BIG mistake.  My manager was a crazy person and she ran the department like a sweat shop.  I use this term because one of her bosses described it using those words on my final day and said he did not blame me for moving on, after being there for two years. I guarantee I would not have stayed there that long and gotten the experience needed for my next job if I had not received “the poem.”

I told my mother and sister what a nightmare the place was at the beginning.  There were a number of young women that collapsed at work from exhaustion as well as one woman in the next department, a little older than myself, that died of a heart attack on the job.  The next day there was a flower at her empty desk.  Some tribute to a life taken from pushing people past their endurance. It was just too disturbing for me.  There was absolutely no excuse to drive people at this pace to where they become physically ill.  There were a lot of call offs as well as people quitting.  This explains why there was always an opening there.

My sister called me one day to say that she was at our mothers when a magazine my grandmother used to subscribe to arrived at the house and they were discussing how strange that they would send a copy of this magazine to my grandmother since she had passed away many years before.  She called to say that she thought she was supposed to see it because she thought she was supposed to show me a poem in it called “Mother Teresa’s Prayer.”  She just said I think I’m supposed to give you this poem so she sent it to me in the mail and I put it up in my cubicle.  She was right, I was supposed to see it because it stopped me from getting upset or walking out many times.  It was a reminder of how even when things suck, you need to suck it up and “do it anyway.”

My sister and I lived with our great-aunt Ruth and grandmother when we were young.  My sister being two years younger does not remember as many things as I did from our Christian aunt’s influence.  Our parents are both unbelievers who scoff at the idea of there being a God.  They were immature, abusive and neglectful parents that should never have had children but did.  Both of them being brain-damaged did not help anything either.  They both “managed” and I’m sure our lives could have been worse, but we were always beaten down and laughed at about everything.  There was never any mercy or someone saying “oh, well, kids will be kids.”  The minute you made one mistake, they jumped on you with both feet and you always knew how much you were despised. Our other relatives were not like this.

Every one of my siblings were substance abusers and severe overeaters trying to fill the void of not being loved as a child.  I was the oldest and I do believe that my aunt’s love sustained me because someone loved me and I loved her, even though she went home to be with the Lord when I was seven.  I drank once in a while when I was younger and married but stopped after I was divorced and taking care of two children and working.  I imagine I was not prone to alcoholism that ran in my family or I just thought more of myself.  I always knew I was special and talented and didn’t care what people said about me.  Well maybe a little.  (felt I needed to lay down some background to my earlier life to make my point.)

After I left the sweat shop I took “Mother Teresa’s Prayer” with me to my next two jobs before early retirement was sort of forced on me.  Not being Catholic or even raised in a Christian home, I always knew who Jesus was but was curious about Mother Teresa so I bought a book I came across “Mother Teresa in my Own Words” and found it fascinating.  I realized I could never do what she did.  I know we are not all cut out for the same thing.  Mother Teresa struggled all the time doing the right thing.  She did not do it to “live her dream” but to live God’s.  This is the way we are all supposed to live and I know this now.

I was never into the Bible.  I went to church now and again and was once a regular member of a church with my husband and children for a number of years.  After I was divorced, I could never really make myself go back to them.  I didn’t even like reading the Bible, especially the Old Testament.  I am still not a religious person, but I do love Jesus and everything He did for anyone who believes.  I don’t understand those that refuse to see the reality in all that he told us and did for others.  It’s very simple and it should be quite natural to have a heart for God, even the laziest of us.  I believe it’s much harder to do the wrong thing, takes more energy than to just do what is right.

Maybe it’s just a “coincidence” that a magazine arrived addressed to my grandmother, who had lived with my mother, considering she had passed over 10 years earlier and that my sister said she was supposed to give that poem to me but after I read her book and let the words of this poem get down deep inside of me, I started reading the New testament and really started getting strong into the word.  It turned my life around completely in everything that I did.  When you are living a sloppy and undisciplined life and decide to change, watch who your friends still are.  Sometimes you will stop talking, sometimes it’s them who will not like the change in you.

I have done some backsliding  after my personal crisis involving a non-believing family member a number of years ago that still has not completely played out but that is another story too long to mention at this time.  I don’t worry, I still have my faith and know that God is not done with me yet!

For those of you not familiar with it, here is a copy of “Do It Anyway.”  I have also heard it called “Anyway” and “Mother Teresa’s Prayer.”  It is supposedly authored by Kent M Keith but she kept it on her wall and apparently added the last line.

Do It Anyway

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

# ALL LIVES MATTER!

GunsDontKillFaith

No one needs to prove that the ignorance of man knows no bounds.  All one need do is to review the history of man.

The fact that some think they are so evolved and that many feel we are an advanced civilization is ludicrous to me.  It defies logic in the face of the facts.

There is a movement that thinks they are a good idea and that movement is known as “Black Lives Matter.”  They’re not wrong, but they’re not correct either because this is called discrimination and their race has supposedly fought against discrimination being used against them for many years.  I am flabbergasted at anyone who cannot see the gross hypocrisy in this phrase and then have the audacity to become angry when they hear the phrase “All Lives Matter.”  The fact that some do not get this is the reason that so many innocent have died.

All Lives Matter is simply stating a fact.  Black Lives Matter shrieks of discrimination, hypocrisy and hate.  Maybe we should blame the white race for all these years for remaining quiet after slowly being slaughtered at the hands of the black man.  Blame the white man for being scared to speak the truth that “We are all mad as hell and not going to take it any more!”  If I can feel this way, I can only imagine what some drunk, red-neck is thinking right about now after hearing of yet more innocent white victims at the hands of some demented, evil black man.

If we were keeping score, there would be no contest as to who is the enemy to anyone and shame on anyone for being part of the problem and not the solution no matter what race you are.  Not the one that forgives, not the one that saves, not the one that takes that high road.  Whatever you do to others shows what you think of yourself.  Anyone who can take another’s life so callously hates themselves and that’s sad enough, but how dare they try to take as many with them as so many love to do.  This is evil 101 and they don’t get the fact that we are all going to die anyway and the rest of us go to heaven.  They won’t, according to the Word.

There is a hell and not just here on earth.  You will bring your anger with you when you leave this world and it ain’t gonna be like some cool horror movie where you will get to be one of the devil’s henchman’s in hell for your evil, you will be the lowest and suffer eternal torment, brewing in that same hell you created and brought with you.  You will always be with you and imagine this if you cannot stand to be with yourself because you never learned to forgive or love, even yourself.  Don’t you owe yourself at least this much?  If you don’t feel the world loves you, then love yourself that much more and not in a selfish way.

This is why Jesus preached the Word of love and forgiveness to His people, so they would finally be free of the burden of the lies of the enemy.  They could learn to forgive and love themselves and for this reason, love and forgive others.  It’s OK that you are not perfect.  It’s OK to be mad at times.  It’s not OK to act out in bad ways when you are.  Forgiveness of self is paramount to finding love in this world, even if others don’t love you.  Once you achieve this, everything else in life is easy.  This is why prayer is so important in asking God to help you in the name of Jesus.  Don’t be too prideful for this.  If you can’t get to this place, may God have mercy on you.  It’s the very least you owe the world.  If you can’t contribute anything, at least don’t take away from it.

God bless all who read my message.  Peace be yours in the name of Jesus.

People Are Destroyed For Lack of Knowledge

Evil runs rampant in the world and it’s no surprise to me or those like me, believers in Jesus Christ and the one who sent Him, God the Father.  The title of this post is taken from the Book of Hosea 4:6 in the Old Testament.

After much brainwashing from the media for many years with mindless, endless gratuitous gun violence, there are now those that have this desire deep within their very souls.  The desire to shoot and kill other people.  The desire to lash out in anger and kill, really with any weapon, even their own hands.  It is common knowledge that man, especially in their younger formative years, is very impressionable.  This is a fact that is no more debatable than the sun rising every morning.  Movie and television producers have little regard for the human spirit of life and love and have never had a clue about real entertainment for the last 50 years or so.  Almost every single movie, and prime time television program have murders galore.  It’s almost an American tradition.

So between having no fathers around in most families and the kids being babysat by psycho killers on the TV, anyone in a position of leadership in America that asks “why” when some nut job kills just to kill, is seriously off their game.  They have no business in a position of being in charge of other people’s lives when it is abundantly clear they are clueless.  Now either they know exactly what they are doing and hope to fool the fools because this is part of their plan to disarm the people “for the good of all” or they have not had the good sense to use censorship when it needed “for the good of all.”

Most people that commit any kind of murder or crimes have evil, demented, criminal minds and they never follow any laws of God or man’s.  How on earth are more gun laws going to help anyone?  I’m deadly serious.  What we need now is for the laws already on the books to be enforced.  America is very punitive and controlling and we have more laws than can ever be followed, we certainly don’t need anymore.  We don’t need liberal news rags printing the names and addresses of legal gun owners, endangering the lives of them and their families as potential homes for the criminals to break into to steal those legal guns.  Doing something like this is playing devil’s advocate in actually helping the criminal do their jobs a little easier.  They don’t have to guess where they will get their next illegal gun.  It will come from a legal gun owners residence courtesy of their accomplice, an ignorant or very evil liberal that somehow thought this was a good idea.  Good for who?

Below is some information I took from the internet verbatim.  I find it curious that shortly after disarming their people, they started mass murdering those citizens for whatever reasons they cooked up at the time.  Man is an evil, unpredictable animal that needs to be well-trained because we have all seen the consequences when they are not.  The fact that Switzerland has the lowest crime rate is not by accident.  These people are given weapons and taught how to properly use them.  But I am sure even they would not be issuing them to psychopaths and criminals.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are “subjects’.
During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental.
