Daily Prompt: Uncompromising Ain’t Popular

I used to be popular,

When I was a doormat.

When I tried to become another accessory,

Those that liked to wipe their feet went away.

Most relationships are followers and leaders.  Victims or victimizers.  Opposites do attract in this manner.   Lovers or Friends it doesn’t really seem to matter.

I went from unassertive and wishy-washy like my passive aggressive mom taught me to strong and uncompromising.  I can’t say for sure what the catalyst really was because I’m sure there was more than one.  Just trying to survive a severely dysfunctional “kill or be killed” atmosphere will do it.  This is why many of us survivors of abuse suffer from PTSD, not just actual soldiers.  We lived in a war zone most if not all of our lives and that takes a psychological toll on you, like it or not.

My younger sister was always headstrong and acted out in anger in constant condemnation of our mother and how she was “spineless” and “Queen of Denial.”  Since my head was in the clouds back then never wanting to believe anything was wrong, I had no idea what she was talking about.  I thought she was an evil little traitor who judged everyone harshly and it was not until many years and counseling sessions later that I got what she was talking about.  She always told me that she did not want to become like our spineless mother so she went in the opposite direction of not just becoming very belligerent and uncompromising, but doing all kinds of crazy, impulsive things trying to feel better.

She was later treated for psychosis and I feel that she suffered from borderline personality disorder when I see the symptoms.  I feel that I have some of the same traits myself when it comes to trust.  It makes you look “paranoid” when actually your history with those that were supposed to have been your loved ones, proves you right not to trust.  In fact you would have to be crazy to trust others.  She always said, “If you can’t trust your parents, who can you trust?”  And she was spot on.  Like many so called mentally ill, they sometimes see what the rest of us can’t or don’t want to.

After menopause I began to behave a lot like my sister, some of my relatives said so and that was not a compliment, they were basically telling me I was acting “crazy.”  This does not mean they were correct.  Do I have issues?  I would think so, most of us do, but can I manage?  So far.  Am I happy?  Not always.  But I know up from down, right from wrong and I’m not into substance abuse or any abuse so that’s a huge difference.  Medications and alcohol can really effect you adversely, even prescribed.  People try to belittle the Christian’s use of Christ as a “crutch” but that’s exactly what He wants us to do.  Prayer is a life saver.

Many times when you stop fitting other folks image they have of you, they think there is something wrong with you.  When you don’t make things easy and are tired of being played you appear uncompromising to them because you are.  Let them work with you for once.  One time I actually had an instance that got me thinking “why am I always the one who does everything, the one that apologizes first” and left the ball in their court.  The ball never came back, as I knew it wouldn’t.  Sometimes I hate it when I’m right.

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Transformation Within

Life is constant change but many of us remain stagnant in who we are as people our entire lives.  We stick to wrong and false beliefs that we learned from other dysfunctional people in our lives.  We do what the world tells us to do, not what God means for us to do in our lives.  We are not letting God do a transformation within us.

It was written that God called from heaven when Jesus was baptized telling Him who He was to God.  How many of us will never hear what God thinks of us because we have all kinds of stumbling blocks by not living the life destined for us,  being disobedient, selfish & self-centered or being distracted by all the other things in the world in our lives everyday. How many of us will ever really be up to the challenge of “Taking up our cross to follow Jesus?”  How many of us let the Holy Spirit minister to us with an open spirit ourselves?  Are any of us really willing to be obedient “even unto death” with all the pleasures and treasures tempting us here on earth? It is a hard and narrow to path to walk in righteousness and hence the reason Jesus said few will enter the gates of heaven.  You have to have the heart for God to be willing to sacrifice personal gain and pleasure to serve Him.  Peace be to all who read and understand.

Daily Prompt: Glorious is Our God!

2 CORINTHIANS 4:
1. Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not:
2. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Daily Prompt: Disobey

The duty of all obedient brainwashed liberal left socialists!  Hillary Clinton was not crowned queen so you must stage a coup and disobey all that is American and America.  You must march with vagina hats, screaming to the heavens of your right to murder your unborn child and for the freedom to defile and pervert all that is right and holy.  You must attack verbally and physically anyone who dares have an opinion that differs from yours because in America we value freedom above all, so all freedom must stop but yours much as in all fascist or communist countries.

Oh the selfishness & immaturity of the disobedient that is helping to overthrow America for the Globalists already on their way in.  Thank you so much for making it easy for them and for acting out as predicted in the Bible for the end times proving once and for all that Jesus really is the Son of God to anyone that ever had doubts.

Jesus was obedient even unto death.  The devil, not so much.

Daily Prompt: Dignify Others

When I saw the prompt “Dignify” I thought of how our current culture has really lost most of their “dignity” in so many ways and how important dignity is to maintain a civilized society.  It’s all being media driven to what end God only knows.  Most of our entertainment is beneath my dignity for sure.  I am offended, shocked, disturbed and disgusted when I was hoping to be entertained.  Most of us are paying these people in some way for this “entertainment” and I pay no one to abuse me.  If I wanted that I’d go home.

Dignity has to do with respect or love actually and you must first respect yourself before you would be able to respect others.

Daily Prompt: Solitary Life of Christ

ALL CHRISTIANS RECOGNIZE EVIL

The Word of God never changes because God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Keeping it simple:

  • If it Builds up or Lifts up it’s of God.
  • If it destroys or tears down, it is not of God.
  • If it’s the Truth, it’s of God.
  • If it’s a lie or misleads in any way it’s not of God.
  • The Truth of God is built on Rock but
  • Lies are built on sand, shifty as the one who tries to deceive.
  • God does not Force Himself on you.
  • The devil does.
  • God is Freedom.
  • The devil is possession.

If it breaks commandments, it is not of God:

  1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
  4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy.
  5. Honor thy father and thy mother.
  6. Thou shalt not kill.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  8. Thou shalt not steal.
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
  10. Thou shalt not covet.

The New Testament adds the commandment of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-40:

Jesus said unto him,”Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

I know who you all are now more than ever and am waiting for you to realize what that is before it’s too late for some of you. Do I expect that human beings will ever be perfect? Of course not, but at least try.  God knows your heart so hopefully you have some idea if you are “right with God.”  If you don’t believe in such “nonsense” try to see why you really believe this and what you do believe.

The Ultimate Irony is while the world tries so hard to escape the Word of God, it only serves to prove that Jesus is the Savior of the World by the world becoming more evil the further they stray.

One of my prayers to God is to be more loving and forgiving to myself and others. I remember to include myself because I learned self hate at a very early age. Combine that with the condemnation in the Old Testament, which I admit I seldom read, and you have some real guilt problems with not being “enough.”   We will never be enough for the world or man but we will always be enough for God as long as we care.
