Just another gangbanger shooting spree. The kind that happens in poor, mostly black neighborhoods almost every day now.
The headlines read “4 Shot at NC Church; Boy, 12, Critically Wounded.” abcnews.com is the only network news station carrying the story at this time online.
The story does not state the race or ethnicity of any of the young people involved but states the shooting took place shortly before 6pm Monday while they were playing basketball on the courts behind Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount.
This is so horrible, but I have not heard this mentioned on any of the network news stations on television as of yet. Why do I believe if this shooting had occurred in a white church or school with white children, this not only would have been reported as news, but we may even have had them break into the regular programming to tell us about it?
Just an oversight or just another sign of racial inequality? A sign that some are giving up on the black culture to the point that a black child’s life is not as important as a white child’s life? I truly believe that family starts with the women and they need to find a mama hubby before they make a baby daddy out of them. That term pisses me off. You either care or you don’t and the sad part is, if too many don’t care, most everyone else will join in.
Another public mass murder, though they were two. The perpetrator’s life doesn’t count. He had a choice but his victims had none.
Many years ago these kinds of atrocities were written about with titles asking why. They seldom do this anymore.
They also keep blaming the guns we are “allowed” to have. Just mull over that sentence for a minute. We are “allowed” to have. Allowed like as adults we need another’s permission to do or have what we want or need to survive in this so-called free country of America the brave and noble. Freedom always comes with responsibility, but I for one refuse to lose my rights because someone else cannot handle theirs.
I personally refuse to have someone command that I cannot own a gun because an evil fool murders with his. This is as ludicrous as my country telling me that I have to keep a distance from my spouse because my neighbor abused his. You cannot punish the majority for what the few misfits may do. That will not be tolerated. The very people that make the gun regulations all have the means and do have their own safe little beds to sleep in at night in their gated communities, some have private armed body guards. I guess the rest of us are on our own, but if they had their way they would blindly choose to dictate fantastic orders to rob the citizens of even the right to protect themselves and their families if they need to in the false hopes that this will prevent the evil and mentally unstable from their unspeakable acts.
Never is a word uttered against all the violent television programs and movies produced daily. They do mention the bad influences of video game playing but that’s where the blame seems to end. I really believe that these people are helping to destroying generations and laughing all the way to the bank. Shame on all the media that knew evil little Holmes was acting out what was actually in the movie when he shot all those Colorado movie goers. It was mentioned and then quickly forgotten.
Not only is there absolutely no intent on stopping these greedy little pigs from filling the airwaves and movie theatres with their bad ideas and evil influence, but there is a never-ending onslaught of awards for the nitwits producing and starring in them. Oh how proud you must be that you influenced murder in another’s heart. But it’s ok, as long as the bought and paid for network news anchors don’t use their well modulated voices to blame you, then you must not be guilty.
The online Cambridge Dictionary defines this phrase to mean you can only judge the quality of something after you have tried, used or experienced it.
Jesus told everyone that the way of the world was wrong over two thousand years ago. The proof of that is to just look around you and see how many of the people that go the way of the world, doing what is popular for the current time in their culture, leave a path of destruction in many ways. Jesus preached the gospel of love for one another.
It might be in following the current rhetoric telling people to live their dreams and in doing so, most of these people will fall to ruin. It may be the fact that most of the world is in it for themselves. Their lives revolve around them and what will benefit them, usually monetarily, for the moment. In our current American culture you can look at Wall Street, the banking industry, oil companies and all the multinational corporations that have one thing in common. They want to make as much money as possible and don’t care who or what they effect adversely.
This is not the way we are supposed to be spending our few seconds on this earth. We are supposed to be making the world better for being here, not destroying it under false delusions that we are providing jobs for others and making the way for a better tomorrow. At this pace, tomorrow really will never come.
We now have empty people who’s only desire is “doing their own thing” no matter who it hurts. They fill their emptiness with lies that are regularly streamed through all our varied media sources rigidly controlled by various governmental dictates instead of the ever “demonized” religion. Some use drugs, sex, work or other compulsive behavior to distract from the fact that they are frightened at the desolation of their very soul. There are many who say how horrible church is and that it is too controlling. In telling the truth, religion helps people learn to control themselves so that they no longer have to be rigidly controlled by other men with guns.
God made us all in a wondrous way. We actually feel better and more complete the more we share and do for others. The way to stop a pity party is to throw one for someone else. When you are hurting, bestow your caring and concern for another who needs it and it actually helps to heal your own broken heart.
Oh how I wish that meant that we could encircle insanity but insanity is rapidly encircling the world.
It is brought on by the unbelievers in these, the end times.
An example of this insanity is when I make a comment somewhere online that the reason a person murdered or some horrific act was just committed is because this was a person that did not walk in the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of love. I see the responses reminding me of the crusades and pedophile priests, of which I respond with the truth that these people obviously did not know Jesus, were imposters, fakes and it is ridiculous to even suppose that these folks in any represent the Christ. These are the comments of those who do not know Him.
This shows me that many people lack critical thinking skills and just plain common sense. Obviously you don’t walk in the Word if you hurt others in anyway, period. It’s one thing to say something accidentally offensive or that the truth offends someone who wishes to be offended. They better take a much better look within or maybe you need to think things out before you speak. Most people that hurt others are hurting. This does not mean they had a bad life or were abused in their lives, but obviously the way you treat others is pretty much the way you think of yourself, how you feel about your life.
Happy people seldom hurt others physically or verbally. Most people are unhappy, lost, bored, angry, you name it. Most don’t walk in the Word or even know how to accept the peace that Christ offered the true believers.
Important thing to remember is the way you accept and treat others is pretty much what you really mean for yourself. This should scare some of you.
We only have one world and one chance in it. How many care to try and make this a better world for them being here, rather than destroying it for someone else?
Especially for those who don’t believe in heaven and hell, if you think this is all there is, why wouldn’t you feel sorry for your brother and try to make his or her time here on earth a little easier?
Dare to be someone’s hero. You will only get one chance in one place at one time.
No matter what your age, sex, race or religion, it appears that the amount of anger you hold in your heart does determine just how successful and how far you will go in life.
There is a definite reason that Jesus tried to explain how important forgiveness was to everyone.
When you forgive, it does not mean that you agree with the wrong that was done, but you agree in your spirit not to let it drag you down.
Living the truth does set us free indeed!
